Staff | Chords of TruthReflections of Reality (Remixed Double LP)Independent / March 12, 2013 Members/Instruments: Jason Garriotte - Vocals/Guitar Production: Remix Producers: David Andersen, Jean-Baptisté Bourgois, Sidney Bostwick, Vince Gauthier, Avraam Georgiadis, Joshua Gleissner, Niklas Großwald, Jean-Pierre Jaffré, Brandowitsch Kreativschmiede, Stephen McNally, Mike Ryder, David Thomas Smith, Pierre Vergeat, Cas Weinbren—Mastered by Jeffrey Joslin This album is comprised of Garriotte's initial 7 songs. From those songs we now have 57 remixes from various producers in several different styles of music from his original acoustic releases to electronic interpretations and back again. Ultimately, the people involved have dubbed it "folktronica". This had to have been a huge undertaking. Imagine reinterpreting oneself multiple times and presenting the same thoughts to such a huge spectrum of listeners. Certainly gets the point across to a huge audience. Jason Garriotte is not a studio goblin, he tours live as well and when asked about the project, he notes, "After the positive response to my acoustic EP, I felt there was a potential for these songs beyond my initial vision and wanted to see how far things could be taken. So I put the stems into the hands of electronic remix producers from all over the world to let them create their reflection of the originals and this powerful collection of musical expression is what appeared. It is truly amazing how a different perspective on even a song can change almost every aspect of the experience. Imagine the impact a different perspective can have on our life/habits/beliefs if we just keep an open mind and consider the possibilities." Certainly gets the point across.
