Today marks what would have been the 75th Birthday of Elvis Presley.

I miss his presence and am delighted that there's so much of his work available to still enjoy.

Anyone else an Elvis fan around here?

"Would have been" is correct. I'm an Elvis fan. But here was a good example of a guy who lived to excess and blew it. The dice didn't come up "7s" for him.  Undecided

If you never change your mind, why have one?

My sister saw him live in concert about six weeks before he died.  While she said it was very sad indeed to watch the Shell of Elvis he'd become, she says she's still glad she was able to see him.  In spite of everything, there was still a touch of magic until "Elvis had left the building."

My husband was in a band that worked when the drummer wasn't on the road with the Big E. His name is Ronny Tutt. The band went home and Tutt went to see the boss and was back a day or so later. No tour.
